50 Hand and 50 Foot challenge #7

A few fun perspective feet here, a few working to keep in proportion.

Count: Hands 31, Feet 33

Over halfway for both, but I've got an early morning, and busy day, so I don't expect the time limit to be in my favor. As I said, still planning to finish 50 of each, but it might be a few weeks before I get back to this. See you then.

50 Hand and 50 Foot challenge #6

Ok, perspective.... some were easier than others, some more successful than others. But practice all the same.

Count: 31 Hands, 26 Feet

Not sure I'm going to get the next 40 in less than two days... but still going for 50 and 50 even if I don't finish by the 18th. See you soon.

50 Hand and 50 Foot challenge #5

Hands and feet together are their own challenge, Being able to see the underlying form of the foot while still keeping the space and shape of the top hand(s). It also gave me the chance to get through more hands and feet together.

Count: 24 Hands, 26 Feet.

More, hopefully to be finished tonight, hands in fun perspectives. Something everyone should practice.

50 Hand and 50 Foot challenge #4

Some differences in style, the bottom (1989) I tried a different type of shading, but i think the area was too vast and I was trying to work too fast for it to look great. I'm happy with some of the other choices I made, but it's just about keeping going right now. Used this to take a bit of a break from my animation, and I do need to get back to it, so I hope to update you all with that soon as well.

Count: 18 hands, 21 feet.

See you soon.

50 Hand and 50 Foot challenge #3

I said I'd be back later tonight...ok well technically it's tomorrow, but I haven't gone to bed yet if that counts. Mixing up my shading a little between smudging it and a more stylized mass shade. The bottom of the first page, was a bit hard, mostly trying to get them in the page while still keeping their dimensions, it doesn't feel like it's a great job, but it does look better here than in person. The bottom of this second page is my favorite no question.

Count update: 13 hands (still), 20 feet finished

50 Hand and 50 Foot challenge #2

Set #2, drawn in my sketchbook, as I chose to vary up the medium a little, not to mention it's more convenient at times. Tried a few more interesting/dynamic images to draw off of this time. The fist turned out better than I thought. I also draw fairly skeletal wrists, but that might be because mine are small compared to my hands. All were done last night, same time frame as the last.

Count update:  13 hands, 12 feet down.

And on to more tonight, if I want to get them done by the contest deadline(which I admit I don't have to) I have to do about 5 hands or feet a night, so I should be seeing you again soon.

My Box! Animatic and Layout

So as I was trying to get myself back into animation after the long Christmas retail season, I decided to go simple. I've got numerous amounts of animation ideas to execute right now, but sometimes you realize that you need to go back and start simple. Well that's what this is, simple but cute. The rig is fairly easy to use, and well made, based off the idea of a flour sack. A very basic type of animation that people will start working with to get the idea of weight and emotion conveyed though the body without having too much to operate.

Critiques are okay, but as a personal project they may not be taken. First time I'm uploading videos here, so I may end up playing around with options.

See you soon for a new update on this animation.
